After Holiday Detox Juice Recipe

After Holiday Detox JuiceIf you indulged and overindulged during the Thanksgiving holiday, the following “After Holiday Detox Juice” might be just what you need to clear your system of some of the toxins consumed during the big dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cucumber
  • 1 stick of celery
  • 2 medium sized delicious apples
  • 1 small handful of spinach (approximately 1 to 1-1/2 cups)
  • 1 small handful of mixed greens (i.e.mix of romaine, oak leaf lettuce, arugula, frisée, and radicchio)
  • Ice Cubes

Instructions:

Juice all ingredients then pour in blender, add ice and blend until smooth.   Pour into your favorite glass and enjoy!

All of the ingredients in this juice help promote detoxification and replenishing.  Spinach is a low calorie food and has chlorophyll which aids in cleansing the colon.  Celery will provide you body with potassium, iron, calcium, vitamins B and C.  Cucumber acts as a diuretic and cleanser  Apples help prevent plaque buildup in blood vessels and helps move waste quickly through the intestinal tract by adding bulk. Apples are rich in iron, calcium, potassium B-complex and vitamins A and C.  The additional greens are power-packed with antioxidants and will help boost your immune system.
